about

The earth mulches underneath. A foot limps through a sodden field. The grass has settled uncomfortably into an overgrown state. The skin deteriorates towards a transcluscent tone. One blue saturated vein embedded in the roof of the foot surfaces. It’s cold. It’s getting colder. The limp repeats. Each time the foot is planted another step becomes more arduous. More energy is needed to pull the foot unstuck from the earth. The limp repeats with added stumbling. A puddle of toes leaves the top of the foot stretching from its lower half. A tiny pond of foot flavoured ice cream. Viscous and elastic in texture. Yanking the puddle loose from the earth it impetuously springs up, settling again into a looser construction of now, unrecognisable toes.

A projected started in July 2019. The title piece uses a resampled line from the Aesop Rock track Tugboat Complex Pt. 3 as an anchor point. Misha queers and crips the line as it repeats over and over slipping in and out. Stuttering and glitching. Limping and lurching forward, backwards collapsing over itself.
